Girls Camp

This past week I was at girls camp with my ward. They asked me to go because they didn't have enough leaders. We went to camp Zerahemla, it is a church owned camp site, located about 2 hours from here. The Leaders

We did all kinds of activities, such as volleyball, archery, singing camp songs, flinging paintballs with sling shots, eating smores, necklace making, and much more!We had a chubby bunny contest, which I won! 16 BIG marshmellows.

On the second day Me and Amy, one of the leaders, went running. we went about 3 miles away from camp, and on our way back, I saw something up ahead on the side of the road. At first I thought it was a cow but as we got closer I realized it was a Bear! A BEAR! We stopped dead in our tracks. Not knowing what to do, we just stand there staring at it, and it was just standing there staring back at us. As I stood there, the only thought going through my head was, "Man I sure wish I had my camera right now." It could have been a very scary situation and my thought were about getting a picture. After a few minutes, the bear decided we were harmless and he wondered off into the forest, and we continued on our run!
Our camp was infested with chipmunks. They were out of control, and to those of you who don't know, I am terrified of chipmunks. So I was taking a nap in my tent, when I suddenly awoke to a chipmunk running acrossed my back. Then the next morning the other leader (lynzie Bateman), woke up to one running right across her face. The chipmunks were scarier then the Bear!
Here is the group
I had a good time, it was a nice break from husband and kids, but I am glad to be home!

Happy Birthday David!

David had his first Birthday on July 16th. I can't believe how fast time flies. I was gone on his Birthday, so we celebrated on Friday. We didn't do anything to exciting, we went out to dinner at godfathers pizza, opened presents, had cake and ice cream, and went to bed!

Morgan was a little sad that David was getting all the attention.
He had more fun opening the presents then with the actual present.

He went to town with the cake. He loved it!
Happy Birthday David, and thank you for a wonderful year! You are such a sweet and loving Boy, I love you so mcuh!

Personal Trainer

I recently decided that I wanted to be a personal trainer. So I went to the local gym and started talking to one of the trainers there. He is letting me come to his sessions with clients, I get to observe and ask questions. He is showing me all of the different equiptment, how to use each one and what muscles each one works.
I am getting my certification through ACE. I just got the books, and am now learning all the human anatomy! I am stuggling with Information Overload.
It is going to take me a few months to get certified, but I am very excited about it! I am loving everything about the process. I get to meet lots of people that are just as passionate about fitness as I am.
I am also learning to play tennis, and am always looking for new sports to learn/play.

Running

On the fourth of July, I ran a midnight race. It took place in Seattle right under the space needle. There were thousands of runner. It was such a beautiful run, with all of the city lights beaming in the midnight sky. My time was 27:20 which isn't that great, but it is a work in progress.

Yesterday Jared and I ran another 5k in mill creek, which is north of Seattle. Jared pushed the kids in the stroller. It was alot of fun with all the people, but it was about 90 degrees, which dosn't make for a very good run. Needless to say my time was worse than my last one, at 29:17. Jared wasn't far behind with 29:59. I joined a running club this week, we go running together every monday night. They run about 5.5 miles each week. It will be a good way for me to improve my time and endurance.

We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.
