Summer

Summer has finally come our way! We had our first warm weather of the season. I took the kids to the park, where we had a picnic and played on the toys. They had a blast.

Morgan loved going down the slides and playing make believe.

David loved exploring the new scenery and of course getting into things.

I am so glad that summer is on its way, now we can spend some quality time outside instead of being cooped up inside all day.

Double Trouble!

David is 10 months old and unstoppable. He has been walking for over a month. He is very mobile, which mean twice as much stuff makes it in his mouth. We can't leave anything out or it will end up in Davids mouth. Rocks, mud and leaves seem to be the favorite.
Morgan and David are now a team! Morgan is the culprit. She opens the front door, and David makes a mad dash outside. Now they are on the deck, which is fenced in, but they don' t stop there. Next Morgan opens the gate and David is right there waiting to escape. They head down the stairs.

Of course David goes down face first.

Morgan being deathly afraid of moving cars, which is wonderful, will only make it to the grass. David who is completely fearless is now headed for the road.

It's wonderful that they are now at the stage when they can play together, but that also mean they make trouble together, DOUBLE TROUBLE!

Marathon

HERE WE COME!!!

Jared and I are training to run the seattle Half Marathon! Its not until Nov, so we have plenty of time to get ready. We are running a region 10K next month. I am very excited about it. I am gaining such a passion for running. I hope to some day run the Boston Marathon! I don't know if Jared is as passionate about running as I am, it took some coaxing to get him to agree to run with me, let alone run the half , but at least he's doing it!

Happy Mothers Day!

This is to my wonderful mother! She has been such a wonderful example to me throughout my life. She has taught me how to be a mother. She showed me by example how to live and love the gospel, and to serve in the church. She along with my dad have given me a great desire and love for reading and learning. She has so much compassion and love for her family and those around her. My mother is the worlds greatest mother, and I am so greatful to her for always loving and teaching me to be my very best self! Thanks mom I love you!

And to my wonderful mother-in-law. She has been such a great example to me. She has showed me what it means to work hard. She has so much energy and strength. She is completely dedicated to her husband and it shows in all she does. She has such a love for the gospel and is trying to convert people everywhere she goes! Thanks for being such a wonderful mother! I love you!

Anniversary

Remember when life was simple?
Yesterday was mine and Jared's three year anniversary. How time flies. Who would have guess what those 3 years would bring.
-6 moves
-3 jobs
-2 kids
-Many hours spent at the doctors office
-Fat tummy
-Stretch marks
-Early Mornings
-Late nights
-snotty noses
-stinky diapers
-Sleepless nights
-Temper tantrums
-Endless tears (from both me and the kids)
-A full time job of keeping up on the cleaning and laundry
-A home based business (That requires many long hours on both mine and Jared's part)
-Many church callings
-A mortgage
-Backaches, headaches, Side aches and any other kind of ache you can think of.
But along with all the aches, pains and frustrations, has come more laughs, kisses, hugs and love then I ever thought possible. It has been an emotional roller coaster, but a wonderful ride!

Early bird catches the worm.

Morgan woke up this morning at 4:00, all wide eyed and bushy tailed. Way to early for anyone to be awake. I tried turning on a movie for her and going back to bed, but of course that didn't happen. She was in every few minutes saying "I'm hungry" and "I need to go potty." She finally conked out on the floor at about 7:00, just as David was waking up. David is not feeling good, and wouldn't let me put him down.

Needless to say I am a little tired this morning, and have a feeling it is going to be a very long day!

We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.
