Singing Time

Morgan loves to sing, I don't know where she gets it from (wink!). She walks around singing all day long. I love listening to her sing. We sing songs together quit often (at least 10X a day). I thought I'd better get her singing on video. I wasn't sure if she would actually sing while I was recording her, but I thought I'd give it a try. I start recording, and she didn't want to stop. As soon as she finished one song she would run over to "Preview it" and then say "K now what song?" We now have a record of her singing just about every primary song! Her are some of her songs, Enjoy!

Shower

This morning, I go into the bathroom and turn on the shower so the water can start to warm up. I'm doing this and that waiting to get in. Then I go to get in the shower and. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

There is David, standing in the shower with his Jammie's on. Who says you can't take a shower fully clothed?

First day!

I just sent Jared off to his first day at his new job! I feel like I just sent my child off to his first day of school, I am anxious and nervous for him. I am having mixed emotions, I am excited that he will be gone more than two days a week, but I'm also a little sad. I'm grateful that He is willing to work so hard to support our family, and take on a second job. He is a great provider and a wonderful husband and father.

Good Luck Jared, I hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday Kayla!

This was posted by my sister Heather!

This is my sister Kayla. Today is her Birthday so I wanted to wish her a Happy day!

I know a lot of younger siblings who look up to their older siblings, but this is not the case in my family. I look up to my little sister Kayla.

I have always wanted to be like my baby sister Kayla! She is a good example to me.

I always wished I could get my hair to look as cute as hers

and to get my wardrobe as styling as hers.

not to mention she is just a sweet, smart person.

Kayla I just wanted to tell you thank you for being my sister and I am sorry for everything I have put you through being your older sister.

I just want you to know I love you!

Happy Birthday Sis!

Wal-mart

I love wal-mart. One stop shopping is my kind of store, especially when you have two kids that you have to get in and out of car seats, and then pack them around. You go to wal-mart and you can pick up your groceries for dinner maybe a new pair of shoes for the kids and your entertainment for the week. They have the lowest prices, and they will meet any competitors price. The problem is who has two hours to spend standing in line while you wait for the worlds slowest cashier's. I have never once been "In and out" of wal-mart. They have two registers open for the fifty people waiting in line, and to top it off all the cashier at wal-mart are a LITTLE slow! Sometimes it worth it to run to Safeway and pay the outrageous price then wait in line at wal-mart for 45 minutes to buy a gallon of milk. Is it too much to ask, for them to use more than two of the 25 registers?

Thats my soap box for the day. Thanks for letting me vent, I already feel better!

The simple things

As I was going about my day today, I was feeling a little frustrated and negative. Instead of letting it get to me I decided to count my blessing instead. I started thinking about all the good things in life and the simple things that just make me smile :) Here are some of the things that I love!
  • I love a nice clean house, when you just get done cleaning and you can sit back and admire a job well done.
  • I love taking long, hot showers. At the end of a stressful day, or just to warm up on a cold winter day.
  • I love holding hands with Jared.
  • I love listening to Morgan sing.
  • I love it when David cuddles with me.
  • I love the smell of roses.
  • I love to laugh.
  • I love homemade cookies, but hate that I can't stop after just one, or two.
  • I love to find good deals. Its my favorite when you go to pay for something and its cheaper than you thought it was going to be.
  • I love running. I love the way I feel after a nice long run.
  • I love it when my kids play together without fighting and crying.
  • I love soaking in the sun
  • I love dancing. When Jared and I dance in the kitchen even though we don't have any music.
  • I love the sound of water, or the smell of paper hot off the press.
  • I love curling up and spending hours lost in a good book.
  • I love thunder storms. Sitting out on the porch watching a thunder/lightening storm and smelling the rain.
  • I love being organized. I hate clutter, and things laying around. I love it when everything has a place, and is in its place, all neat and tidy!
  • I love sleeping in. There's nothing like waking up in the morning and looking at the clock to find that its 9:00. Its a great way to start every morning.

These are just a few of the many things that I love. What are some of the things you love?

Ferry Boat

Today, in celebration of the holiday we went to Seattle and rode on a Ferry boat. I have never been on a ferry, so I was very excited. Morgan was really excited about the water. She told me "Mom be careful, don't drop your glasses in the water." She's always looking out for everyone. It was a very pretty and an enjoyable ride. While we were on the ferry, the seagulls were just gliding right overhead. They were not afraid of all the people. People were feeding the seagulls, one guy had them eating right out of his hand.
We rode the ferry to bainbridge island. It was a pretty small town, by the time we got there at six o'clock PM everything was closed. We walked around for awhile and finally found a little PO-dunk restaurant that was open. As we are finishing up our dinner we look at the clock and realize that the ferry is suppose to leave in ten minutes. We hurry and pay for our dinner, pick up the kids and start running back. We didn't make it in time so we had to sit around with a very grumpy David for an hour while we waited for the next boat.
Here is a picture of some random guy I saw on the street. Yes my friends, he is wearing a skirt!
David on the ferry. He is a future fire fighter!

This was at a park overlooking the harbor.
This was my attempt to get a family photo.

This was as we were pulling up to the dock, with the night time glow of Seattle behind.

We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.
