One for the Books

Let it be know that my Davey Dew is POTTY TRAINED. . . . .WHOO HOOO! I am so excited to be done with diapers, at least with him. He has gone 2 weeks and a 13 hour car ride and stayed dry, (minus the accident he had at church and of course I wasn't prepared because he had been dry for so long). The best part is, I don't even have to help/remind him, he just goes in the bathroom and does it all by himself!!!! I am such a proud mother!

Catch up

Forgive my lack of blogging. Here are a lot of pictures and a few words to catch you up on our happenings.

We made it to the pumpkin patch and it started pouring rain. I got one quick shot of David before we left empty handed.

Morgan was Tinker Bell for Halloween, I found a super easy tutorial so I threw her costume together at the last minute.

For Thanksgiving my family made the long drive out here. We were very cramped in my little house but we had lots of fun. We went to the beach and collected sea shells.

We went to the Bellevue Garden D'lights. The have an incredible lights display.

I got new carpet, which I love. Here is a before and after picture of the room.

Just Because. . .

She's so darn cute!

On Sunday I walked into the kitchen to find a pile of hair and a pair of scissors. I run to the bathroom to find that Morgan had cute 2 big chunks out of either side of her hair. I just stood there starring as my eyes filled up with tears. I was heart broken. I told her I had to finish cutting it. As we walked back to the bathroom she said "I don't want it cut like dad's." Feeling angry I told her "Yes! You have to have it cut like dads." She started sobbing "no please mom please." I had to cut 6 inches off. When I got done I told her if she ever cut her hair again we would have to cut it like dad's, hopefully that will be motivation enough to keep her away from the scissors. After we got it dried and curled it turned out kinda cute. I would still prefer her long hair but I can live with this.

Back to school

Morgan had her first day back at preschool. I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by. It seems like every year gets shorter and shorter. Although I must admit I am kind of excited to start the school year. We are in much need of the routine that comes with it. It's just hard to see my little babies growing up.

Does someone need glasses?

While we were at my parents house, Morgan was running around and ran right into the corner of the wall. Of course she had to get stitches. 2 stitches inside and 3 on the outside layer. We take her to the doctor and we had to have 4 people holding her down so the doctor could stitch her up. She was screaming bloody murder the entire time, while kicking and making it nearly impossible to get her stitched. Finally the doctor got her all put back together, when a nurse came in and said "I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, . . someone hit your car in the parking lot. If the day hadn't been traumatic enough we have to go outside and face a CRAZY lady that had hit our car and wait forever for the police to get there so they can write a report. It ended up being just a little dent, but adding a huge amount of stress to my day.
